"Should we check our risk taking pulse and see how our heart beats for others?"
Hours Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm for Walk-ins
SAVE Docket Program was developed through the collaboration of Fighting Against Injustice Toward Harmony (FAITH), law enforcement, community agencies/partners, and the courts. The SAVE Docket allows individuals to complete community service hours or participate in specified programs in lieu of paying court costs. It is not only a financial savings for the individual, but also a cost savings for the taxpayers who support the costs associated with arresting and incarcerating these individuals. In essence, the SAVE Docket could shift the paradigm from sentencing, jail and court cost to opportunities to improve program participants’ lives and the community. However, individuals who choose not to avail themselves of the SAVE Docket options may face progressively more serious consequences. This approach offers fairness and potential cost savings to the participants, the justice system and to local governments.
The SAVE Docket has many benefits for participants, some financial and others less tangible. By encouraging individuals to participate in community programs, additional people can take positive steps to improve their conditions. Reductions in outstanding warrants for minor offenses will reduce employment and service access barriers.
We are looking for volunteers for the program and for organizations that can provide service hours or services for the participants.”
If you are interested in volunteer opportunities with SAVE Docket, we have a variety of volunteer positions and activities that may suit your talents and availability. Please complete the form below to assist us. Thank you in advance for your interest!
